Binance only exchange to regain 'Black Thursday' Bitcoin ...

Binance has 📈gained momentum with $2.8 billion in 24-hour Bitcoin futures volumes, against BitMEX’s $2.1 billion and #Huobi’s $2.46 billion. Concurrently, BitMEX continues to lose in both open interest and volume for #Bitcoin (BTC) futures since the Black Thursday crash in March.

There’s a new way to anonymously trade Monero for Bitcoin!

Cryptmixer doesn’t collect personal information or transaction records, meaning that Bitcoin swaps stay private.

In brief

It’s now easy to trade Monero to Bitcoin in a completely anonymous fashion.
Cryptmixer is a way of transferring cryptocurrencies on a separate blockchain — one that is much harder to observe. The company has announced it has added the privacy-first cryptocurrency, Monero to its privacy-centered decentralized exchange.
Customers can trade Monero with a few other assets, including Bitcoin, ETH, BCH, LTC, and XRP.
In theory, Cryptmixer thus makes crypto private again, skirting around recent regulation designed to identify senders and recipients of crypto transactions. For instance, the Fifth Anti Money Laundering Directive, which was implemented earlier this year, and the Financial Action Task Force’s “Travel Rule”, which was implemented in mid-2019, both require crypto exchanges to collect more information about their customers.
Users on Cryptmixer don’t have to submit personal information to participate (that means none of the KYC, or Know-Your-Customer checks, that centralized exchanges require), and the exchange doesn’t keep records of addresses, or transaction amounts when choosing to do so.

But there's a catch

The only way privacy can be fully realized is if there’s no black hole like Cryptmixer to enter and exit, which only draws attention to the user. If you have a trace in the BTC ledger, you are no longer private. Instead you should make all the transactions equally and uniformly private by only transacting within the Monero network.
The LocalMonero co-founder also said that it’s not inconceivable that BTC addresses that are linked to Cryptmixer will automatically get blacklisted (Binance, for instance, blocked withdrawals to the privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet, Wasabi). This would make any Bitcoin coming out of Cryptmixer “worth less than ‘clean’ bitcoins.”
The service isn’t illegal, and wallets have “Read Only” keys that can be submitted to, say, tax authorities. In any case, what’s important is that it gives people more freedom, and does not go against any laws.

Cryptocurrency Staking As It Stands Today

Cryptocurrency Staking As It Stands Today
Everyone and his grandma know what cryptocurrency mining is. Well, they may not indeed know what it actually is, in technical terms, but they have definitely heard the phrase as it is hard to miss the news about mining sucking in energy like a black hole gobbles up matter. On the other hand, staking, its little bro, has mostly been hiding in the shadows until recently.
by StealthEX
Today, with DeFi making breaking news across the cryptoverse, staking has become a new buzzword in the blockchain space and beyond, along with the fresh entries to the crypto asset investor’s vocabulary such as “yield farming”, “rug pull”, “total value locked”, and similar arcane stuff. If you are not scared off yet, then read on. Though we can’t promise you won’t be.

Cryptocurrency staking, little brother of crypto mining

There are two conceptually different approaches to achieving consensus in a distributed network, which comes down to transaction validation in the case of a cryptocurrency blockchain. You are most certainly aware of cryptocurrency mining, which is used with cryptocurrencies based on the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus algorithm such as Bitcoin and Ether (so far). Here miners compete against each other with their computational resources for finding the next block on the blockchain and getting a reward.
Another approach, known as the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, is based not on the race among computational resources as is the case with PoW, but on the competition of balances, or stakes. In simple words, every holder of at least one stake, a minimally sufficient amount of crypto, can actively participate in creating blocks and thus also earn rewards under such network consensus model. This process came to be known as staking, and it can be loosely thought of as mining in the PoS environment.
With that established, let’s now see why, after so many years of what comes pretty close to oblivion, it has turned into such a big thing.

Why has staking become so popular, all of a sudden?

The renewed popularity of staking came with the explosive expansion of decentralized finance, or DeFi for short. Essentially, staking is one of the ways to tap into the booming DeFi market, allowing users to earn staking rewards on a class of digital assets that DeFi provides easy access to. Technically, it is more correct to speak of DeFi staking as a new development of an old concept that enjoys its second coming today, or new birth if you please. So what’s the point?
With old-school cryptocurrency staking, you would have to manually set up and run a validating node on a cryptocurrency network that uses a PoS consensus algo, having to keep in mind all the gory details of a specific protocol so as not to shoot yourself in the foot. This is where you should have already started to enjoy jitters if you were to take this avenu entirely on your own. Just think of it as having to run a Bitcoin mining rig for some pocket money. Put simply, DeFi staking frees you from all that hassle.
At this point, let’s recall what decentralized finance is and what it strives to achieve. In broad terms, DeFi aims at offering the same products and services available today in the traditional financial world, but in a trutless and decentralized way. From this perspective, DeFi staking reseblems conventional banking where people put their money in savings accounts to earn interest. Indeed, you could try to lend out your shekels all by yourself, with varying degrees of success, but banks make it far more convenient and secure.
The maturation of the DeFi space advanced the emergence of staking pools and Staking-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers that run nodes for PoS cryptocurrencies on your behalf, allowing you to stake your coins and receive staking rewards. In today’s world, interest rates on traditional savings accounts are ridiculous, while government spending, a handy euphemism for relentless money printing aka fiscal stimulus, is already translating into runaway inflation. Against this backdrop, it is easy to see why staking has been on the rise.

Okay, what are my investment options?

Now that we have gone through the basics of the state-of-the-art cryptocurrency staking, you may ask what are the options actually available for a common crypto enthusiast to earn from it? Many high-caliber exchanges like Binance or Bitfinex as well as online wallets such as Coinbase offer staking of PoS coins. In most cases, you don’t even need to do anything aside from simply holding your coins there to start receiving rewards as long as you are eligible and meet the requirements. This is called exchange staking.
Further, there are platforms that specialize in staking digital assets. These are known as Staking-as-a-Service providers, while this form of staking is often referred to as soft staking. They enable even non-tech savvy customers to stake their PoS assets through a third party service, with all the technical stuff handled by the service provider. Most of these services are custodial, with the implication being that you no longer control your coins after you stake them. Figment Networks, MyContainer, Stake Capital are easily the most recognized among SaaS providers.
However, while exchange staking and soft staking have everything to do with finance, they have little to nothing to do with the decentralized part of it, which is, for the record, the primary value proposition of the entire DeFi ecosystem. The point is, you have to deposit the stakable coins into your wallet with these services. And how can it then be considered decentralized? Nah, because DeFi is all about going trustless, no third parties, and, in a narrow sense, no staking that entails the transfer of private keys. This form of staking is called non-custodial, and it is of particular interest from the DeFi point of view.
If you read our article about DeFi, you already know how it is possible, so we won’t dwell on this (if, on the off chance, you didn’t, it’s time to catch up). As DeFi continues to evolve, platforms that allow trustless staking with which you maintain full custody of your coins are set to emerge as well. The space is relatively new, with Staked being probably the first in the field. This type of staking allows you to remain in complete control of your funds, and it perfectly matches DeFi’s ethos, goals and ideals.
Still, our story wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t mention utility tokens where staking may serve a whole range of purposes other than supporting the token network or obtaining passive income. For example, with platforms that deploy blockchain oracles such as Nexus Mutual, a decentralized insurance platform, staking tokens is necessary for encouraging correct reporting on certain events or reaching a consensus on a specific claim. In the case of Nexus Mutual, its membership token NXM is used by the token holders, the so-called assessors, for validating insurance claims. If they fail to assess claims correctly, their stakes are burned.
Another example is Particl Marketplace, a decentralized eCommerce platform, which designed a standalone cryptocurrency dubbed PART. It can be used both as a cryptocurrency in its own right outside the marketplace and as a stakable utility token giving stakers voting rights facilitating the decentralized governance of the entire platform. Yet another example is the instant non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange service, ChangeNOW, that also recently came up with its stakable token, NOW Token, to be used as an internal currency and a means of earning passive income.

What’s next?

Nowadays, with most economies on pause or going downhill, staking has become a new avenue for generating passive income outside the traditional financial system. As DeFi continues to eat away at services previously being exclusively provided by conventional financial and banking sectors, we should expect more people to get involved in this activity along with more businesses dipping their toes into these uncharted waters.
Achieving network consensus, establishing decentralized governance, and earning passive income are only three use cases for cryptocurrency staking. No matter how important they are, and they certainly are, there are many other uses along different dimensions that staking can be quite helpful and instrumental for. Again, we are mostly in uncharted waters here, and we can’t reliably say what the future holds for us. On the other hand, we can go and invent it. This should count as next.
And remember if you need to exchange your coins StealthEX is here for you. This Sub Has Gotten Very Quiet

This is the problem with the crypto community. Many only get excited and interested when they see a major pump. OXTBETS seemed very active and interest peaked in late August. Then, the terrible month of September ensued (which I predicted btw, not to toot my own horn) and now Orchid's level of interest is back to the days of June and July. In the terrible words of scholarly rapper, Future: "Molly, Percocets, Rep the set, Gotta rep the set, Chase a check, Never chase a bitch." NEVER CHASE A CRYPTO or you will be doomed. (Btw Future was basically advertising street drugs which makes that a terrible song).
Everyone should watch this video by Tommy World Power: (0:48) "imagining if someone put $100 in cryptocurrency or BTC in 2009, that in 2013, that $100 would become worth $100 million. Thinking about how people go to work everyday and they have these routines...and if they could put just $100 which is possible for most people in the Western world..." I can admit that I was sleeping on crypto throughout this decade. I first heard about Bitcoin in 2013 and dismissed it as some illegal black market money laundering scheme. And in a way with Mt. Gox, it was like that. Then came the more traditional exchanges like Binance and Coinbase which helped legitimize this asset class.
(1:37) "I watched Bitcoin go from $10 to $1000 in 2013." Didn't we all? (1:50) "I actually made first major investments in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at the end of 2013, at the end of that bubble...that next year is something we NEVER saw in cryptocurrency before.... My losses on some of them were 90%... Accumulate as much possible at those lows because I knew at some point, it would rebound." Basically, he was referring to how everyone forgot about crypto in 2015 including all his friends and how it came roaring back to reward the loyal crypto holders. Don't chase crypto gains but don't also sleep on crypto.

Initial capital in Bitcoin trading: experts have named the minimum amount

Initial capital in Bitcoin trading: experts have named the minimum amount

Initial capital in Bitcoin trading: experts have named the minimum amount
To begin with, one dollar may be enough on the cryptocurrency market, but in the future, experts recommend investing in digital money at least a thousand, and even tens of thousands of dollars.
The popularity of digital money is growing in 2020. More and more people are seeking to enter the blockchain industry through investing, mining or trading. However, first you need to decide how much money can be allocated for a risky attempt to make money on cryptocurrency. Experts told why $1 sometimes may be enough, and in which case it is not worth coming to the market without $50,000 in stock.

$ 1 trading

Vladislav Antonov, analyst at IAC “Alpari”
If a person comes to the market to trade, then he must first learn this craft and only then decide with what amount to start. You can buy a Porsche and tie it in a knot in a few minutes. To get behind the wheel of a car, you need to learn the rules of the road and learn how to manage them, avoiding accidents. After training, pass the exam and get a license. Here the market takes the exam. If you break the rules, he takes money from the deposit through traders who are on the other side of you.
On the Binance market, you can start trading with as little as $1. There is such a cryptocurrency — Stellar (XLM). 10 tokens cost 0.03 USDT, 100 tokens — 0.39 USDT, 1000–3.91 USDT. You can make 100 trades at 1 XLM, and you won’t even get losses by $1. Perfect conditions to hone your skills. The market can also be compared to ultimate fighting. Here it is important not to start with what amount, but to learn how to correctly calculate the trading volume from the protective stop. That is, a trader must first determine how much he is risking in one deal and calculate the risk. It is believed that the risk in one transaction should not exceed 5% of the deposit, and better not more than 2%. First you train, then you enter the ring.
If you take, for example, a $100 deposit, then 5% will be $5. You clearly know that if the market goes against you, you will lose $5. 90% do not do this and, using large shoulders, lose everything. Then, after analyzing the market, you find the entry point and the level where the protective stop will be placed (the level at which the loss will be closed). This is where the main problem of traders’ failures lies. Everyone wants to make a million from $100, only they take big risks.
The trader must find a comfortable amount of losses. Loss is the right to earn like a business expense. When a trader gives up driving on the market with a small amount of the deposit, then he can increase it. It doesn’t matter from what amount you count 2%. If the deposit is $1000, then this is a risk of $20, if the deposit is $10,000 — $200, etc. It is necessary to answer the question: at what amount of loss is it comfortable for me to trade? And if it is possible to reduce the risk per trade by less than 2%, then it is worth doing.

$1000 and diversification

Andrey Podolyan, CEO Cryptorg.Exchange
The average static deposit on crypto exchanges can be considered a deposit of about $1000. In general, for many traders this is already the amount that it is a pity to lose and with which it is interesting to work.
However, it is worth focusing on the income that OTC activities bring to the trader / investor. If a person earns $10,000 and more monthly, then, naturally, he will not be interested in a $1,000 deposit. And if a person earns $500–1000, then a $1000 deposit for him will be even too large an amount.
In my opinion, a trader is successful if he earns a little higher than the average national salary. Example: Average salary is $1000. On average, a trader earns 10% per month on his deposit. Therefore, the working deposit must be at least $10,000.
Valery Petrov, RACIB Vice President for Market Development and Regulation
When determining investments in cryptocurrency, first of all, you need to understand that cryptocurrency cannot be the only asset in an investment portfolio.
It must be diversified according to the risk-return criterion. The point of this approach is as follows: the entire portfolio is structured according to the level of risk that you are willing to take on.
Since cryptocurrency belongs to high-risk assets and, in fact, is a speculative asset, the risks of losses for which are very high, it makes no sense to allocate more than 25–30% of the portfolio to such an asset class. Especially in today’s market, when the classical theory of portfolio investment does not work very well. “Black swans” and other market fluctuations are constantly encountered, which do not fit into the classical theory of investor behavior in the market.
For a person whose main income is wages, the formation of such an investment volume should occur gradually. My recommendation is to transfer to such an investment portfolio about 10% of monthly income, despite the fact that it is at least $1500–2000. Then any loss will not greatly affect the lifestyle.
It makes no sense to start investing in cryptocurrencies from the very first deduction. A third of the conditional $200 is an insignificant amount to go to the digital money market with it. On the crypto market, it is advisable to start operations from an amount of approximately $1000. Then the commissions and market fluctuations that exist there will not lead to quick and negative changes in the portfolio.
From this amount, you can increase investments in the crypto market. At the same time, it is necessary to observe the proportions according to which the volume of investments in cryptocurrencies should not exceed 25–30% of the portfolio, given that other assets are less risky, but they will be able to ensure stability.

Investments from $ 50,000

Victor Pershikov, Lead Analyst at 8848 Invest
When determining the minimum investment amount, you need to take into account the specifics of the cryptocurrency market, which distinguishes this site from classical financial markets. Firstly, the cryptocurrency market is incomparably more volatile than classic financial instruments, which is reflected in both higher incomes and higher risks of losing funds. In this regard, the initial capital must be sufficient in order to receive a decent return on investment, while remaining tolerant of risk. Secondly, price corrections in the cryptocurrency market are more significant than corrections in other markets, and can reach 70–90% of the developing trend movement. This also leaves an imprint on the initial capital requirements, because the investor must understand that he is just facing a deep correction and not sell his assets ahead of time, fearing a trend reversal.
The cryptocurrency market is still very young and there are high risks of various manipulations. In this regard, the investor should distribute his assets into the most diversified portfolio possible so that a collapse or bursting of a bubble in one sector does not lead to significant capital losses. Therefore, an investor must have a higher, by the standards of classical markets, initial capital in order to comfortably invest in digital assets.
I recommend starting investing in digital assets with an amount of at least $50,000, since this amount of funds, on the one hand, allows you to receive income that exceeds income from classical financial markets, and on the other hand, you can be calm and wait out the drawdown or decrease in the crypto market capitalization, which happens quite regularly.
I would also advise focusing not on margin trading, but on investing in digital assets, since on the one hand, intraday trading is statistically successful with a fairly small number of participants, and on the other hand, the bullish nature of digital assets, coupled with a very real opportunity selecting truly worthwhile assets into your portfolio allows even a not too experienced trader to succeed in the CFA market.

Price Discovery in Bitcoin exchange

About thirty days ago I shared a chart on Price Discovery in this sub. There was a lot of interest in it and I promised to explain in detail a Bitcoin price discovery algorithm.. I do so in this post.
*this text post is a slightly shorter version of what I wrote in my blog.

TL;DR

I applied price discovery algorithms to 5 Min OHLCV data from Bitmex and CME contracts and Bitstamp, Coinbase, HitBTC, Kraken, Poloniex, Binance, and OkEx BTCUSD/BTCUSDT markets from March 2016 to May 2020. Some exciting results I got was:

Introduction

Price discovery is the overall process of setting the price of an asset. Price discovery algorithms identify the leader exchanges whose traders define the price. Two approaches are most famous for use in Price Discovery. Gonzalo and Granger (1995) and Hasbrouck (1995). But they assume random walk, and a common efficient price. I do not feel comfortable assuming random walk and common efficient price in Bitcoin Markets. So I used this little know method by De Blasis (2019) for this analysis. This work assumes that "the fastest price to reflect new information releases a price signal to the other slower price series." I thought this was valid in our market. It uses Markov Chains to measure Price Discovery. Without going into the mathematical details the summary steps used was:
De Blasis (2019) names this number Price Leadership Share (PLS). High PLS indicates a large role in price discovery. As the sum of the numbers is 1, they can be looked at as a percentage contribution. I recommend reading the original paper if you are interested to know more about the mathematical detail.

Data

Andersen (2000) argues that 5 Minute window provides the best trade-off between getting enough data and avoiding noise. In one of the first work on Bitcoin's Price Discovery, Brandvold et al. 2015 had used 5M window. So I obtained 5M OHLCV data using the following sources:
Futures data are different from other data because multiple futures contract trades at the same time. I formed a single data from the multiple time series by selecting the nearest contract until it was three days from expiration. I used the next contract when the contract was three days from expiration. This approach was advocated by Booth et al ( 1999 )

Analysis

I can't embed the chart on reddit so open this https://warproxxx.github.io/static/price_discovery.html
In the figure above, each colored line shows the total influence the exchange had towards the discovery of Bitcoin Price on that day. Its axis is on the left. The black line shows a moving average of the bitcoin price at the close in Bitfinex for comparison. The chart was created by plotting the EMA of price and dominance with a smoothing factor of 0.1. This was done to eliminate the noise. Let's start looking from the beginning. We start with a slight Bitfinex dominance at the start. When the price starts going up, Bitfinex's influence does too. This was the time large Tether printing was attributed to the rise of price by many individuals. But Bitfinex's influence wanes down as the price starts rising (remember that the chart is an exponential moving average. Its a lagging indicator). Afterward, exchanges like Binance and Bitstamp increase their role, and there isn't any single leader in the run. So although Bitfinex may have been responsible for the initial pump trades on other exchanges were responsible for the later rally.
CME contracts were added to our analysis in February 2018. Initially, they don't have much influence. On a similar work Alexandar and Heck (2019) noted that initially CBOE contracts had more influence. CBOE later delisted Bitcoin futures so I couldn't get that data. Overall, Bitmex and CME contracts have been averaging around 50% of the role in price discovery. To make the dominance clear, look at this chart where I add Bitmex Futures and Perp contract's dominance figure to create a single dominance index. There bitmex leads 936 of the total 1334 days (Bitfinex leads 298 days and coinbase and binance get 64 and 6 days). That is a lot. One possible reason for this might be Bitmex's low trading fee. Bitmex has a very generous -0.025% maker fee and price discovery tend to occur primarily in the market with smaller trading costs (Booth et al, 1999). It may also be because our market is mature. In mature markets, futures lead the price discovery.

Days Lead 571 501 102 88 34 12 8 7 6 4 1
 Table 1: Days Lead
Out of 1334 days in the analysis, Bitmex futures leads the discovery in 571 days or nearly 43% of the duration. Bitfinex leads for 501 days. Bitfinex's high number is due to its extreme dominance in the early days.

Table 2: Correlation between the close price and Exchange's dominance index
Binance, Huobi, CME, and OkCoin had the most significant correlation with the close price. Bitmex, Coinbase, Bitfinex, and Bitstamp's dominance were negatively correlated. This was very interesting. To know more, I captured a yearwise correlation.

Table 3: Yearwise Correlation between the close price and Exchange's dominance index
Price movement is pretty complicated. If one factor, like a dominant exchange, could explain it, everyone would be making money trading. With this disclaimer out of the way, let us try to make some conclusions. This year Bitfinex, Huobi, and OkEx, Tether based exchanges, discovery power have shown a high correlation with the close price. This means that when the traders there become successful, price rises. When the traders there are failing, Bitmex traders dominate and then the price is falling. I found this interesting as I have been seeing the OkEx whale who has been preceding price rises in this sub. I leave the interpretation of other past years to the reader.

Limitations

My analysis does not include market data for other derivative exchanges like Huobi, OkEx, Binance, and Deribit. So, all future market's influence may be going to Bitmex. I did not add their data because they started having an impact recently. A more fair assessment may be to conclude this as the new power of derivative markets instead of attributing it as the power of Bitmex. But Bitmex has dominated futures volume most of the time (until recently). And they brought the concept of perpetual swaps.

Conclusion

There is a lot in this data. If you are making a trading algo think there is some edge here. Someday I will backtest some trading logic based on this data. Then I will have more info and might write more. But, this analysis was enough for to shift my focus from a Bitfinex based trading algorithm to a Bitmex based one. It has been giving me good results.
If you have any good ideas that you want me to write about or discuss further please comment. If there is enough interest in this measurement, I can setup a live interface that provides the live value.

Why BitcoinCombination.com is the best Bitcoin combination to make money.

Why BitcoinCombination.com is the best Bitcoin combination to make money.
NOTE: Bitcoin is highly volatile and not a place to invest funds you can’t lose. While there are some stories of people making a fortune on Bitcoin in 2017, many people lost as it fell from its peak. Some people think it is going to be worth $1 million or more while others call the entire system a fraud ready to fall.

I love Bitcoin. I like making money with this cryptocurrency. I work with different platforms, as each one has certain nuances. But most often, I use the one described below. Why? Well, first of all, it is safe to buy with PayPal. Truly anonymous commerce, even registration on the site is not required. In addition to FAQ, each service has a "How it works" button. And what is important for me is the black background of the site because when trading on sites with a white background, my eyes get tired, and vision deteriorates.
So, my favorite combination is Bitcoin to USD using PayPal.

BitcoinCombination is an independent trading community that unites the interests of investors, traders, and entrepreneurs.

Where, with the help of the decentralized, integrated bitcoincombination.com platform and the FABC team (which provides the functionality of the BitcoinCombination community capital movement), participants have the opportunity to increase their capital, with complete anonymity of personal data.
Something from the FAQ.
What is bitcoincombination.com?
bitcoincombination.com is a decentralized, anonymous, integrated trading platform.
Do I need to send any documents or pass verification?
No. You use this resource anonymously.
How can I be considered anonymous if I have to enter billing information when buying, investing, or using another service on the website?
The anonymity of platform users is protected by security codes ©sessions technology during authorizations on the website, without using the registration of the users themselves. And also, payments using FABC, and the complete deletion of personal data after the completion of a financial transaction.

Services

This is my first article on reddit.com, and I decided to dedicate it to not a big website presentation for those who are also passionate about Bitcoin and want to make money on it. If someone is interested in this topic, write your comments. If you have any questions about BitcoinCombination.com, I'll expand on the topic.
By the way, if you want to know the forecast of the Bitcoin rate for the next day, the site has a news subscription. Besides, there is a simple and offer subscription.

Bitcoin Stays Above $8,800 As The U.S. Government Considers New $3 Trillion Debt

Bitcoin Stays Above $8,800 As The U.S. Government Considers New $3 Trillion Debt

The Total Amount Of US Government Debt Will Equal $25 Trillion US Dollars
The world’s leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, managed to recover from the downtrend over the past weekend and stayed above the $9,000 psychological barrier, before correcting to $8,832.56, as of press time.
Despite its weekly closing correction, which pushed down Bitcoin’s price in the $8,500 region, the leader in the crypto sector rebounded and found strong support in the $8,700-$8,850 regions. The support was followed with a short consolidation period, despite the trading turbulence оn global level as of 4th May.
Source: Coin360 \"Hourly crypto market price chart\"
Bitcoin’s safe haven behavior continues, as the U.S. Treasury announced that the institution is going to borrow up to $3 trillion in Q2 of 2020 to subsidize the economy due to the recent COVID-19 virus outbreak. The new debt would result in a total of $24.9 trillion in the red. The US debt has increased with $1.5 trillion since 1st of March.
Also, the Federal Emergency Management Agency published a forecast model showing 200,000 new infected cases every day until 1st June, with an estimated daily death toll of 3,000 deceased, as States re-open.
Another pressure point for the U.S. economy is that more than 30 million Americans remained without jobs and filed for unemployment.
The pressure resulted in drops in the major US indices, which this time did not correlate into the world of cryptocurrencies, as it happened with the “Black Thursday” event on March 12. Bitcoin bulls set their target to $9,500, as trading volumes suggest clear skies above.
However, technical analysis shows strong resistance at $9,000, as Bitcoin struggled to keep its ground above the 20-day moving average. Bitcoin was rejected three times at $8,950 with Bitcoin bulls anticipating moves above $8,970, which would clear their way up.
Other indicators, such as the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and Relative Strength Index (RSI) hint bullish market, as the RSI jumped from 47 to 60.
In the last hours on 5th May, Bitcoin slipped below $9,000 in seems to be a straight freefall form the high of $9,047.53, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
Тhe main force of recent bullish activities, according to traders, can be attributed to the upcoming third BTC halving, scheduled for next Monday, 11th May. As the price per mined Bitcoin decreases, so does inflation, and experts consider the halving procedure as a clear indicator for a price pump. However, some market analysts fear that the halving would affect prices negatively in the short-term, especially with the ongoing economic uncertainty worldwide.

Bitcoin (BTC) Trading Volumes Spike Two Weeks Before The Halving

Bitcoin (BTC) Trading Volumes Spike Two Weeks Before The Halving

Trading Volumes On The World’s Largest Cryptocurrency Surpassed The Levels Before The Global Market Wipeout From 12th March
Despite getting into a turbulent month of intense price swings and market wipes, due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak, Bitcoin’s support seems to strengthen since the start of 2020. One of the largest crypto exchanges, like Binance and Coinbase, reported an average BTC trading volume of around $5.6 billion since the March 12 market wipeout. In contrast, Bitcoinity reported average Bitcoin trading volumes of $3,96 billion from January 1, 2020, to March 11. However, the average volume rally peaked at $9,2 billion worth of Bitcoin in the week after the global market crash.
Source: Bitcoinity.org
Bitcoin’s trading volume uptrend can be separated into two different models. The first model identified Bitcoin as a digital safe-haven asset, putting it alongside gold and other precious metals. Bitcoin’s haven strengths were tested during the conflict between the U.S. and Iran when the geopolitical pressure forced the stock market down while fortifying Bitcoin’s strongholds.
However, Bitcoin didn’t stand to the massive fear-driven sell-off, and the price per BTC dropped in half – from $7,969 before the crisis to a yearly low of $3,858 on some exchanges.
The so-called “Black Thursday” market crash, however, created a global opportunity to “buy the dip” and benefit from Bitcoin’s low trading price. Bitcoin’s trading volumes skyrocketed, and the price followed quickly. The world’s largest crypto managed to make a full recovery, trading at the levels before the crash. Volumes also took a massive boost last week, reaching higher levels than during the uptrend from Q1 of 2020.
The recovery, combined with the much-anticipated mining reward halving, scheduled for May 12, brought bulls back in the race. The halving event would cut down the reward for miners from 1800 BTC daily to 900 BTC per day.
Blockchain analysis company Glassnode reported that the BTC holder profile matures, as traders are going to hold Bitcoin, rather than trade it post-halving. The hold, in theory, should keep volatility and volume swings low.
Data aggregator Messari, on the other hand, sees a BTC bullish rally, nevertheless.
“It seems the crypto market activity settled down after the “Black Thursday” event, but with Bitcoin’s third halving coming in just a couple of weeks, there is enough time to bring the animal spirit in the crypto sector,” Messari stated in a blog post.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin moves on a steady weekly gain graph. The world’s #1 crypto broke above the $8,000 resistance, with a strong volume increase in the past 24 hours. Currently, Bitcoin trades for $8,341.04. Marketwise, almost all of the top-100 cryptocurrencies mark 2-10% gains, with a total market capitalization of $234,661,359,327 and $152,634,163,535 in 24-hour reported daily volumes.

New perspective cryptocurrencies of 2020

2020 is going to be a quite crucial year for the crypto industry. Many big brands are launching blockchains this year, and some of them are expected to be very investment attractive. Below, we are going to tell you about the most perspective and intriguing cryptocurrencies of 2020.

Celer Network (CELR)

The recently released Celer Network (CELR) cryptocurrency ranks 165 in the CoinMarketCap rating. The launch of the Celer Network occurred in early July of 2019. In fact, it is a platform for developing low-cost and secure blockchain applications (DApp) — mainly for the gaming industry.
The CELR cryptocurrency, and its token – CERL, is at the center of the economic system - cEconomy. It will probably be used for payment of service fees and transfers of service providers. This is an incentive to maintain the project's liquidity.

Gram

Gram is a long-awaited cryptocurrency from Pavel Durov’s team (known for Telegram). In early September 2019, files and resources of the TON Blockchain, where Gram belongs, were published. Initially, the project was supposed to start working on October 31. However, the US SEC (United States Security and Exchange Commission) decided to delay the release of the Gram cryptocurrency, as it was not transparent enough.
Many users and investors consider Gram to be a very promising cryptocurrency in terms of earnings, and as a product itself — as upon its release, 300 million people will instantly possess Gram wallets, which will make it the world’s most adopted cryptocurrency. The task of the TON blockchain is much broader than just creating conditions for instant cross-border transactions and smooth operation of the payment service. A whole ecosystem of services is being developed, which makes it possible to define TON as a decentralized blockchain platform. It is likely that this way TON will ensure the liquidity of the platform's native token.
According to Oleg Zhelezko, partner of Da Vinci Capital and a major investor in TON, Telegram is currently taking serious steps to comply with KYC's regulatory requirements.

Libra

Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency aims to become a part of the financial system and replace some of its functions like sending money in a quick and secure way. And the project has every reason to do so. It is meant to be a stablecoin — its value will be backed, and this certainly makes Libra attractive.
Libra’s aim is to create a so-called “global financial infrastructure”. It is also centralized, and much faster than other cryptocurrencies: Libra is going to perform 1000 transactions per second, while, for example, Bitcoin handles only 7.
It was supposed to launch in the early 2020s, however, due to pressure from the US government, it will be probably delayed till the end of 2020 or even later.

Fetch (FET)

Fetch (FET) is another project that has all the chances to take off. Its goal is to create a decentralized network for an unlimited number of trading services. The platform architecture is based on a distributed ledger (DLT) and includes the advantages of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies. According to the roadmap, Autonomous "AI agents" will perform various tasks for the services — for example, they will help you book a hotel room, or develop an effective supply chain.
According to CoinMarkeCap, currently, Fetch Token (FET) is the cryptocurrency of the ecosystem Fetch.AL. In terms of market capitalization, it’s ranked 119th.
All in all, the world of cryptocurrency often can be unexpected. Even the most perspective project can fail, meanwhile some “black horses” hit the top. That means, that before any investment, one should spend as much time as possible for a deep investigation and data collecting, in order to be sure in his decisions and actions.
